Assignment 8 - Matthew Kingkade

Fears: failure, snakes, natural disasters
Annoyances: loud chewing, cockiness
Accomplishments: 4.o GPA, various sports achievements
Confusions: why do we park on driveways and drive on parkways
Sorrows: confidence
Dreams: skydive, visit all 50 states
Idiosyncrasies: never sit with my back to the door
Risks: ziplining
Beloved Possessions: blanket (then), car (now)
Problems: procrastination, lack of confidence

As I have grown up my confidence has diminished. From being the first one to raise their hand to answer a question in elementary school to just sitting in silence when a question is asked in high school. This may stem from my growing fear of failure or being wrong. As I look at this list I realize that my fear of failure and my lack of confidence may be related. What I would like to know is which came first? Did my lack of confidence cause me to have a fear of failure, or did my fear of failure come first causing me to have a lack of confidence? As I conclude my final two years of high school I am trying to be more confident and embrace failure. After all, what's the worst that could happen if I give the wrong answer to a question?
