Assignment 5 - Matthew Kingkade

Every evening when I come home from school the television is on. It doesn't matter what channel is on I will sit down and watch. Often times I watch TV as a distraction, a way to relax my mind from thoughts of school and homework. Whether it's a football game, the local news, or a home improvement show I will sit down and watch. My favorite channel to watch is ESPN, which I happen to be watching right now. This network primarily focuses on sports news and events all day and all night long. My favorite show is Highly Questionable, which features sports writers Dan Le Batard and Bomani Jones. This is different than most talk shows that air on ESPN as it involves comedy along with sports news. Although it is only 30 minutes long and the same format every day, it never fails to entertain me. There are few shows I dislike. Since I use TV as a distraction, or an excuse not to do homework, I will watch most anything even if it is not something I would consider as one of my favorites. Overall, I think TV is a good distraction, and form of entertainment.
