I like
patterns in my day. I take comfort in these habits and rituals that remain
relatively constant. In each of my classes, I usually have one or two people
that I talk to. I enjoy laughing, conversing, and franticly asking questions
about an upcoming test. In English this year, I talk to my table mate, Katie Demos.
Katie is a band
nerd. She’s a flutist and obviously enjoys it because she talks about it
often. Although I don’t consider myself a musical person, I appreciate someone
who has a passion. Other passions of Katie include always taking the cushioned
chair even when it was in my spot first. However, she got what she deserved
when a protruding staple ripped her jeans. That’ll teach the chair thief. In
five years, Katie will either be in music school, or a prison for chair
thieves. Katie is a nice person who sometimes is a genuine friend. I say
sometimes because she routinely grades my essays below the class average,
which, frankly, is indicative of her jealousy.
