Assignment 9 - Isabella Matthews

I by no means am a fan of war. It is horrible and causes so many terrible things and such extensive loss of human life. However, I don't think it would be possible for humans to never go to war. 

Yes, sometimes it's unnecessary. Yes, sometimes it only makes matters worse. But war is part of human nature. I doubt there will ever be a time where no one in the world is fighting a war of sorts. In some circumstances war is unavoidable, say if the country were to invaded or our citizens were being kidnapped on foreign waters or a country we have a treaty with is attacked. In any of these cases, we must make the decision to go fight because if we were to do anything else it may not be an effective end to the matter. 

If countries did not go to war when issues arise that would cause them to be going to war what would they be doing? Handling issues with diplomacy? If diplomacy worked then they wouldn't be in a situation where they are facing war.
