Assignment 14 Cate Clay

My Thanksgiving begins with breakfast, held at my house, with about fifteen family members from my mom' s side of the family. After eating the meal in the dining room, we file into the living room to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and then the National Dog Show. Most of my family members don't really like either of these shows, but rather enjoy making fun of various aspects of them.

Our Thanksgiving dinner actually occurs on the day after Thanksgiving. We started this tradition a few years ago, after realizing that we are too full after our Thanksgiving breakfast to eat our huge dinner later that same day. Our dinner is a little more crowded than breakfast, as it usually includes about twenty-five people. Like breakfast, about fifteen family members on my mom's side of the family attend, alongside about ten family members' friends. We are forced to set up a few randomly-placed tables around the house in order to seat all these people.

Although it is completely chaotic, Thanksgiving (and the day after) is one of my favorite times of the year.
