In my opinion, there is never an appropriate time for war.
When countries are in conflict, it is the governments that are at odds, not the
citizens. I do not think that it is appropriate for a country to send thousands
of its citizens across borders with the intent of killing others, especially
knowing that their own people could very well die as well. Deliberately putting
citizens in danger is, in my opinion, extremely immature. I think that it is ridiculous
for war to be the go-to resolution for conflict. In the case of 9/11, President
George W. Bush was quick to send troops across sea, but those countries had
nothing to do with the incident. Innocent people have died because of this misjudgment.
War achieves nothing but diminish the population. I think governments should
first and foremost attempt to get along peacefully. Resolutions might involve
treaties or agreeing to disagree. People need to want peace. Changing culture
to invite more peaceful resolutions would create a sounder society and a better
world to live in.
