Assignment 14 - Matthew Kingkade

Every year for Thanksgiving my family gathers at my grandfather's house in Danville. It is the home my mom and her siblings grew up in and now it is where they return to share holidays and special events together. We eat a traditional Thanksgiving meal consisting of turkey, ham, and other various sides. After eating we gather around the TV to watch football. Despite our best efforts this usually ends up becoming a post-lunch nap. After everyone wakes up we fill up the little room left in our stomachs with different deserts, this year it was pie. After cleaning up all the dishes and finishing desert everyone returns home until we gather together again for Christmas. Although Thanksgiving isn't my favorite holiday, I enjoy meeting with family members that I don't get to see often. Also, the food. How could you not like a holiday centered on eating a giant meal?
