Assignment 10 - Isabella Matthews

The inside of the human body. I don't want to say it terrifies me but it definitely isn't disgust I feel when I see a photo of a large gaping wound that shows all the layers of skin and your muscles and your tissues and your bones and all these other things. I can't handle it.

This fear can I believe be traced back to the time in third grade when I got a deep cut on my leg by a broken vase. It wasn't that it was bleeding a whole awful lot, because it really wasn't. It was that I could see into the inside of my leg and that really messed with my head. I ended up having to get six stitches on the inside and six on the outside.

Before this event occurred I was perfectly fine about the inside of the human body. So fine in fact that a lot of my family thought I may grow up to be a doctor, probably a surgeon. As you may guess, that's a pretty funny joke now.
