Assignment 14 - Will Graves

I’ve always liked Thanksgiving and the many  traditions that come with it. Thanksgiving in my house is a stereotypical one is a stereotypical one, gathering with all my family I haven't seen in months and eating a lot of food. The only out of the ordinary thing I do is wake up at 7am to run a 5k at Keeneland (allowing me to eat with impunity the rest of the day). And its also a nice break in school before finals season starts. Thanksgiving for me has never really been as significant of a holiday as Christmas. This is the time of year when I’m just ready for winter break, Christmas, and a nice long break from school. I feel like Christmas overpowers Thanksgiving and takes away from its significance. The day after Thanksgiving stores are already switching to Christmas stuff and in some cases even before then (really the day after halloween). I have a lot to be thankful for and Thanksgiving is a good time to take a step back and look at that, I just wish it meant more to people, including myself.
