Griffin Coates - Assignment 20

I've been playing travel lacrosse with the same team since the summer of 5th grade. Every year we travel to new locations like Pennsylvania or North Carolina to play teams around the country. The same process occurs for every tournament and one could say I've mastered it.

Step 1: The week before the tournament, make sure to hydrate yourself with lots of water. Eat protein and limit the amount of fat and carbs you take in. This will help you perform your best when it comes time.

Step 2: SLEEP! Sleep is crucial to your performance. I normally take naps while we drive to the location of the tournament. Get a good amount of sleep the nights of the tournament. You don't play well when you're tired.

Step 3: Hydrate during. before and after your games. This is crucial. Pedialyte helps this.

Step 4: Rest and ice. Icing your body helps your muscles relax and helps you not be sore the next day. Playing 5 games in two days can be brutal on the body, especially in  90 degree heat.

Step 5: Have fun. This is the most important part of the process. Enjoy the sport you play!
