Cate Clay- Assignment 23

Below is my perfect playlist for driving. Because my car is by far the place I most often listen to music, this is basically just a list of my favorite songs right now.

1. Helpless- The Hamilton Cast
This is my favorite song from the musical right now (it constantly changes). It's a pretty upbeat love song, so it's great for getting in a good mood. I recommend learning the lyrics- it makes it a lot more fun to listen to.

2. Hey Soul Sister- Train
It's hard to believe that this song is almost ten years old because I'm still not sick of it. It's a classic and one that I'm pretty sure most people know.

3. Telescope- Cage the Elephant
I find this song really relaxing, so it always calms me down when I'm feeling stressed, even though the lyrics are somewhat depressing.

4. All Too Well- Taylor Swift
I would be content with any old Taylor Swift song playing in my car, but this is probably the best. Again, it's a little sad, but I know every word, making it a fun one to play.

5. Foreigner's God- Hozier
Any song from Hozier is a good one, but this is my favorite. It was never as popular as some of the other ones from the album so I actually learned about it pretty recently, even though the album's almost four years old now.

6. Coming Home- Leon Bridges
I love Leon Bridges' music because it sounds very old school. This is a great song with good lyrics. It's fairly slow so it always helps relax me.

7. Universal Sound- Tyler Childers
Tyler Childers isn't very popular right now, but more and more people learn about him everyday, especially since Sturgill Simpson produced his newest album. This new album is full of great songs, but this is my favorite. Also, Childers grew up in Kentucky which is pretty neat.

8. California Stars- Wilco
This is my mom's favorite band so she's the one that introduced them to me. All of their music is relaxing and has great lyrics that always touch on something you can relate to. In my opinion, this is by far their best song.
