Blog 23 Elle Varner

My perfect playlist is one for when it’s raining in the car. I don’t know if it’s just me, but whenever it’s raining in the car really hard I get a little nostalgic, so I decided to throw in a few throwback songs. Slower songs also tend to set the mood a little bit, so I also threw in a few of those. So the next time you’re in the car and it’s raining don’t forget to turn on this playlist and let the memories take you away. https://open.spotify.com/user/dayvarner/playlist/5zedFYsW1mH7iWMZl587gS
Since I Told You It’s Over (Stereophonics)- this song is just easy to listen to. It’s a good opener to the playlist and refreshing from the everyday “pop” sound.
Cigarette Daydreams (Cage the Elephant)- This song is one of my all time favorites. It never fails to make me reflect on life; making it a perfect rainy day song.
Under the Bridge (Red Hot Chili Peppers)- this song is slow at the beginning and then speeds up, but I think that the slow guitar throughout really sets the mood.
Have You Ever Seen the Rain (Creedence Clearwater Revival)- this song is sorta self explanatory in the sense that the word “rain” is in the title. It will make you think about the rain and your past or present relationships.
Piece of Work (Sunday Best)- this is one of my ALL time favorites. Everything about this song screams nostalgia and memories. Listen to this one if you have time.
