I think about my life after high school everyday. Most of the time it excites me, but at times it seems overwhelming. A year from now I will have decided where I will spend the next four years of my life. An enormous decision, especially for someone who can't cook anything more than grilled cheese.
So many variables go into this college choice; from distance, cost, value of education, and basketball. Factoring basketball into my college decision raises a lot of implications. Do I choose a school that gives a generous basketball scholarship but doesn't have great academics? Or go to a great academic school and play basketball without such a generous scholarship? Maybe even forget basketball and enjoy my college experience? As you can see, aspiring to play college basketball and attend an exceptional academic school is what I'm working towards. Washington University in St. Louis is my first choice right now, however I need to raise my ACT score to accomplish this.
