Assignment 21 - Matthew Kingkade

One obstacle I've dealt with throughout my life is being vertically challenged, or as some people like to say, short. Although this doesn't affect me much anymore, when I was younger I always wished I could just be a little taller. Whether it was playing baseball, basketball, or football I was almost always the shortest kid on the field/court. This meant that I wasn't able to hit the farthest or throw the fastest. In order to overcome this height deficit, I had to work harder and find other ways to stand out and for me this came in the form of speed. While I don't play sports anymore and I'm not as short as I once was, this obstacle taught me that while I may have been lacking in one area, I was able to make up for that by working harder and being better in other areas.
