How to make a friend:
Imagine this-- a stranger and yourself are standing in line waiting for coffee at Starbucks. Both of you somehow left your phones in the car, and are awkwardly standing there staring at the ground. So, how does one make a friend without making a friend request on Facebook?
For starters, eye contact and a simple "Hello" is a great way to approach the conversation. Just engaging someone in conversation may brighten their day. In this society driven by technology, it is easy for someone to feel invisible. After initiating the conversation, assuming they haven't walked away, try complementing something about them. This will show how kind of a person you are and will compel them to keep the conversation going. Next, ask them about their drink order or their favorite drink to order. The strategy is to ask questions until you find something in common with the stranger and begin to connect. Who knows, you could meet your best friend next time you are in line at Starbucks,
