Assignment 9- Will Gregory

To be entirely honest with you, I don't know where I stand on war. Is it our governments responsibility to go to war to defend the inhabitants of our country? Yes, of course, but does anyone truly have the right to take the life of another? I don't really know where I stand there.
Of course a government is inherently supposed to protect it's inhabitants at all cost but when does the murdering of inhabitants of other countries become justified? When I as a Christian, but also as a human being with morals, looks at this issue I immediately say that the killing of another human is a mortal and unforgivable sin... but when I look at the international landscape I am faced with conflict. War, at least for now is a necessary evil. Unless the world sees great change or you prefer to be run over and murdered by other opposing countries war is just a necessity. Do I like it? No, but I as an American citizen am forced to defend our governments decisions for war if there is actually no alternative.
