Assignment 1 : Howdy - Lindsey Angel

Hi! My name is Lindsey Angel. I am a born and raised Lexingtonian. I have two older sisters, a brother-in-law, and an adorable 5-month-old niece (she is also my god-daughter) and 2-year-old nephew. I'm sure you'll hear me talk about them all the time! Here's a picture of the cuties.

My academic goals this year are maintaining straight A's, passing my 5 A.P. classes, and desperately trying to stop procrastinating!
As for what "geeks me out", I'm really interested in medicine and want to be a (maybe general) surgeon. While both my parents and my sister are in the medical field, I didn't really discover this passion until a few years ago. Ever since I was younger I wanted to either be a famous singer or an author, but people change and so do their interests. I love the thought of practicing medicine because it would give me the chance to really help people and make a difference in their lives (but also just because surgery is REALLY cool ). One of my favorite things to do each day is to talk to my sister on her way home from work and ask about all her surgeries from the day (she is an ears, nose, and throat surgeon). At this point, I must confess that my favorite show is Grey's Anatomy, and as much as people say it is fake medicine (which it pretty much is), the weird surgeries are super interesting, and some of them are actually based on true stories!
If I could have a super power, I'd want to be able to fly or have super-speed - which I'm sure Coach Gay would LOVE (I'm on the Henry Clay track team)!
My favorite website is definitely Youtube. I spend way more time watching videos on the site than I probably should (www.youtube.com).
